She has taught Spanish/English as a 2nd language in Adult Ed. and she continues to teach adults informally. (You will often see her at Panera’s doing so!) Sandy describes herself as a resourceful and enthusiastic teaching professional with a genuine interest in fostering every student's educational experience. I couldn't agree more!!! Sandy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish/English from Barry University and a Master of Arts in Educational Supervision from Florida Atlantic University. We are so lucky to have her!!

Mary BurkinsMary Burkins - Many of you will recognize Mary as she has been an active member of our community in a variety of positions for years. Mary has worked with the Substance Awareness Center since February, 2006. Through the Center, she is starting her 5th year as a teacher of LifeSkills™ in our elementary and middle schools. She’s worked her way up from Broward County sharing her teaching, volunteering and empowerment skills all along the way. Mary is an inspiration for us all…always learning and creating new goals for herself. This year she will complete a Math Grades 5-9 certification, renew her teacher certification, continue her volunteer efforts and join us as a tutor. All the while supporting her daughter in her last two years at Charter High. She’s amazing and we are thrilled to have her be a part of our team.

Lacee GivansLacee Givans: We are thrilled to have Lacee join our team as another Exceptional Student Education (ESE) certified teacher of K-12 students. Her skills are enhanced by her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Harding University (KY). She is currently licensed as a Speech & Language Pathology Assistant and plans to work towards becoming a full-time Pathologist/Therapist. In the meantime, Lacee is well-placed to fulfill her passion of serving learning-different/learning disabled students in her 2nd year as Imagine’s K-5 ESE Teacher. Lacee is, very simply, wonderful with students!

Eric CropekEric Cropek: We are excited to have Eric bring his special skills to our team. He earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Edinboro University and is certified to teach Pre-K – 4th grade in FL and PA. He has been teaching in Indian River County since 2015-16 school year and he loves those little ones as much as they love him. Now, in his second year at Imagine, he is a Co-Teacher for K and 1st, which allows him to work within the classroom to remediate skills individually and in small groups as needed. Eric is multi-talented and equally loves music. He plays in a band and hopes to be a full-time music teacher someday.
